My name is Staci Smith and I am a National Board Certified Teacher specializing in the area of Literacy, as well as, an ARI Local Reading Specialist for grades kindergarten through third grade.  As a reading specialist, I am given the opportunity to directly work with classroom teachers in helping to ensure that our children become successful readers. In my role, I support K-3 teachers by modeling proven successful Science of Reading instructional strategies that can be easily implemented into a student's daily literacy practice. In addition, I am also very fortunate that I directly provide intensive reading intervention to students with characteristics of dyslexia as a Certified Academic Language Therapist.
